Hydrangea havoc! 01 May 2018As many of you will know we are now having the most amazing blooms of Hydrangea, Now i find them to be a complete nightmare to keep fresh cut and i have been a florist for over 25 years. Through trial and error there are answers, your beautiful blooms will florish and keep so much longer if you can follow these few instructions. Firstly as soon as you see your blooms wilting try lightly spraying with water and re-cut the stem under water and always remember cut at an angle, wait a couple of hours and see what happnens if they perk up fantasic try and give them a little spray every day. If they are looking really sad then take your bloom out of the arrangement and submerge the whole head and stem into fresh cold water for 30 mins and that should do the trick failing that you can also remove all green leafs from the stem and recut the stem and place into boiling water for 30 seconds and then place back into the vase of water.
